🇪🇺 🚢 Owning one third of the world's fleet, the European Union has a duty to lead the way and set an ambitious example. We will therefore strive to have the development of safe and environmentally sound ship recycling capacity included in the Circular Economy Act.

🏗️ Steel recycling saves 1.5 tonnes of CO2 compared to raw steel. This would lead to huge #emissions reductions and significantly limit #pollution. In the scope of a decade, up to 150 million tonnes of CO2 emissions would be saved, which represents yearly GHG emissions of The Netherlands 🇳🇱
