We absolutely smashed our first target for funding publication of the report. Huge thank you to those to contributed.

We've set a new target to see if we can fund our public affairs work and events.

If you haven't yet thrown us a few ££, you still can!

Diolch yn fawr.

This got flagged in the accessibility assessment on the Lasting Powers of Attorney service, if I remember correctly.

(Tagging @cthimon.bsky.social who will probably remember better than me and may have something helpful to add!)

Digital isn’t just about tech. It’s how we fix broken systems and services.

Our new report (published this Friday) shows how – but we need your help to get it in front of decision-makers before the 2026 election.

Our report on transforming public services for a modern Wales launches this Friday! 🙌

But we need help to get it to decision-makers, campaigners, community leaders, and journalists.

Can you support and share our Crowdfunder to make this happen? 🙏

Diolch, thank you!

"Real people can't descope parts of their lived experience. The complexity of lived experiences still exists even if we don't research or design for it."

Such a brilliant talk from @priyanca.bsky.social 🙌

Treat every stage you're designing for as having high emotional stakes - it usually will for someone at some point.

It's one of the reasons I'm not a big fan of emotion or 'empathy' mapping.

Stay tuned for more arbitrary lukewarm takes I guess.

What fresh hell is this? 🥸

Institutions are vast but were contained to impressive buildings or brown envelopes. It was easy to spot them & know if you trusted them

Now an institution has same digital presence as a gaming app or social media platform

It is hard to know if that site, that app, that email is trustworthy

ERP system replacements are some of the most difficult and complex projects we see organisations undertake.

We’ve seen example after example go wrong. Late delivery. Blown budgets. Toxic environments. People left in misery afterwards.

Short 🧵

At long last, wee have a physical copy of the book we've spent all summer writing!

The 2026 election in 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 will bring a bigger Senedd, a fresh mandate, and – if we choose it – a chance to break free from decades of short-term fixes and broken promises.

Many orgs drown in strategy documents. They can't find alignment because they've said too many things in too many documents.

Their way of fixing it is paying someone to go in and create one document to rule all documents.

Let's listen to Giles and stop creating more strategy documents! 🙌
