Making a fancy tool to generate synthetic data and avoid downloading real data to run the tests is pointless, if my problem is disk space, not network! If the real file won't fit, the synthetic data won't fit either.

The developers thought the LLM tools made them faster (but they weren't), so that study also showed that you can't trust any other study that relies on developer's self-reported "I think this makes me faster".

A few years ago I was in an ophthalmologist waiting room and I saw a Wi-Fi network with no password. I connected to it and I didn't get Internet. I thought "must be an unsecured printer", and I tried opening 192.168.0.1.

It was not a printer 😱
