James Gutmann (the 1936 translator of the first edition of the Freedom Essay) called Schelling the Prince of Romanticism, If Schelling was the Prince of Romanticism then surely Novalis was the King of Romanticism, and Karoline von Günderrode, the Queen of Romanticism!

Coming up next on #TheYoungIdealist Series: Adorno's Aesthetic theory: The autonomy of art, Beautiful semblance, & the historical unfolding of meaning with Distinguished Professor of German, Emeritus, Dr. Rolf Goebel (University of Alabama, Huntsville).

"What is most profound in nature is also melancholy; for it too, mourns a lost good, & likewise, such an indestructible melancholy inheres in all forms of life."

My God! Interstellar is by far the best movie ever! It has speculative science, a giant black hole (Ungrund) that serves as the copula between reality & the Fifth dimension; Gravity, Light & an intergalactic battle of good & evil. Also a profound cosmic notion of "Love" that transcends space & time.

"This text draws on Merleau-Ponty’s phenomenology to challenge assumptions about pathology, disability, & embodied experience. It rethinks the body not as a biological fact but as our way of having a world—culturally shaped, historically situated, & always lived."

Even though German Idealism, & Schelling are my first loves ... My second love (which I am very passionate about) is Early Phenomenology & the works of Edith Stein. I plan on publishing on Stein relatively soon once I finish with my fall work load. She was a brilliant philosopher.
