Just found out someone stole assets from one of my mods and put them in theirs and is acting like they made themmmmmm.

Vena would have been a completely different creature as a durge. She wouldn't have been mutilated as a baby, keeping her wings. Without her human side she'd fully embrace her malevolent blood. [1/2]

The oversexed creature she is, Vena would have fallen for his charms, 100%. However, once it became clear he was leading her to Szarr Palace she'd disengage and bolt.
She'd previously been invited to perform at parties there, declining as she found Cazador deeply unsettling.

He also realises how easy it's going to be to convince her to give him the crown, so he'll tolerate it. For now.

I think this is why I burned out so hard. A mod I cared about a whole lot got very little interaction and it crushed me completely. It's made me feel so demotivated to work on mods, the majority I've published since have been request mods with no personal stake. I need to separate me from my work.

the fastest way to kill motivation is to make your identity depend on the outcome. it's called ego involvement. when failing becomes failing as a person, your brain starts avoiding the whole thing. not because you don't care, but because you care too much.

you don't need lower standards. you need less self-worth tangled up in your goals. the work gets easier when it's not about proving who you are.
