At my parents' we had a popcorn machine that would project the popped corn up and it had an angled lid with an opening on the side to ricochet it into a bowl.
I'd love to see a video of this one in action (ideally without people being weird about it tho)

The machine looks intimidating, but I have to say the description of what it does... I sounds like it operates similarly to modern popcorn machines with just a different energy source for the heat.

originally I expected to play mostly as Venom, but turns out he gets locked in pretty fast, so I played more Moon Knight than Venom so far.
Also Rocket.

Even if most cars on the road were autonomous vehicles, "following traffic laws perfectly" would be wrong. Because traffic laws also say don't swerve from one lane to another, but you need to to dodge obstacles sometimes.

Following road laws include adaptable driving, following surrounding traffic speed and recognising others' behavior.

But my events where all related to road condition, not the quality of my driving, but just a spot of bad luck hitting a little mound of snow or a patch of ice just the right way to reduce my control. And one thing I knew: I know what to do in this situation and the people driving around me do too.

These are all relatively normal highway events anywhere where it snows. Maybe a Waymo wouldn't have spun out the way I have in my history?
December 2, 2025 at 11:31 AM
Does a Waymo know how to detect and adapt its driving to an unexpected patch of black ice? Does a Waymo know what to do when someone does donuts in front of them? Does a Waymo know what to do when its doing donjuts? Does a Waymo recognise a wind gust?

Also this seems to pretend that drivers who kill people (or heavily damage their property) don't get punished? People never get their license revoked?
With autonomous vehicles, the "driver"is the whole system they all run off of, so it's logical to get the whole system off the street imo.

If you encounter horses/riders outside and you're not sure how best to pass, you can always announce yourself. Keep a few meters of distance, then holler "I'm coming through with a bike, can I pass?" and the riders (who know their horses) will tell you what they need.
