you've written a lot of tweets about how much you dislike gay people. i don't really want you on my page.

here's hoping you change your mind. not because you're bullied into doing so, but through personal growth and interaction with people different to you.

i am incapable of fawning

there is one tiny shred of respect that i have for myself and it exists within my ability to remain vocally true to the things i believe in.

it is my last good quality. the only thing about me that i am proud of. heavens knows how much i've suffered for clinging onto it.

whatever mental energy i have is spent constantly trying to find ways to recontextualize every negative interaction i've had to be maximally charitable of people who, quite frankly, do not deserve it.

not for their sakes, but so that my own contentment and belonging feels less like a distant dream.

it sorta reminds me of the reddit-clone voat: in defining your community as [website but Not] you only attract a demographic of unwashed reactionaries & children.

anyway, i don't know the jesse guy personally, but i know enough of his friends and coworkers that i sincerely doubt he's a bad dude.
