I don’t see back 3 as a starting or permanent set up. Think it’s too much of a change, for the coach, the players & the club.
I can see Guehi being the utility defender, as the sort of solid fullback either side, if we can’t resolve Bradley & Ramsey’s injuries, or LB or the CB from time to time.

You can’t convince me he’s the ideal partner for Virg. Then perhaps he’s the “replacement” for Robbo but he’s an entirely different profile to Kerkez which has its merits.

I’d like to know the details of how the recruitment process works & a thorough assessment of its effectiveness.
My personal take, in general, is that the person managing the team & immediately responsible for it has to have an influential say in choice of position & players.
