I strongly urge anyone reading this to seek out a basic firearm safety training class in your area ASAP. If you're nervous about them catering to right wing weirdos, you can search for ones that are inclusive or more left friendly. I was able to find one nearby fairly easily via Google/Reddit.

I've only been to EVO once, back in 2017. It was fun and I wanted to go back someday, but EVO now being co-owned by the Saudi Arabian government has completely soured me on it.
