worth noting that, stealth edit notwithstanding, ISW would prefer not to be involved in all this

Or, *or* could it also partially be Student Finance England being horribly inefficient, analogue, and frustratingly difficult to navigate and communicate with?

I just don't need to know what the Telegraph has written about Dungeons & Dragons. It's a newspaper for people who are frightened of samosas.

Given that I - admittedly belatedly - just completed the university's harassment and diversity training, this does smack as much of hypocrisy as it does opportunism.
This is the most alarming story I’ve read today. Giving up the fight before it’s started

Having now watched the four episodes, the story definitely functions sufficiently well, but I do feel that the symbolism behind some of the Alien.s imagery from earlier seasons is possibly giving unwanted connotations to the show's exploration of homosexuality
Episode #5.1 of Stranger Things is a delight.

Dialogue turns into paint by numbers early in #5.2 though

I wish I didn’t have to share this. But the BBC has decided to censor my first Reith Lecture.

They deleted the line in which I describe Donald Trump as “the most openly corrupt president in American history.” /1

All the supposedly progressive people saying 'Nigel Farage's racism doesn't matter. His fans love it'.

It matters whether the leader of the party leading all the opinion polls is an outright racist. It matters if he called black people 'wogs' and said 'gas them' to Jews. Not everything is a game

I don't think (successive) governments who ignore the financial crisis in universities really realise what it will look like in cities, including northern cities like mine, if the higher education sector collapses. Newcastle's economy is *really fucking really* propped up by students

Still reeling from the Stanford report on Brexit. Reduced GDP by up to 8% and investment by as much as 18%. The UK Treasury would have £40 billion more each year if Britain had remained in the EU. Devastating self-immolation.

I don't understand how anyone can watch how blatantly Grok is manipulated to answer the way ownership desires it to and then act like the other LLM chatbots couldn't possibly be similarly but less obviously compromised to produce responses in whatever way corporate interests and priorities dictate.
