i remembered lights slide being sliightly slower but the evening of getting the death note he starts looking around his cram school and thinking these people should die. deeply 17 year old way to think and he basically stays there mentally for the rest of his life. many such cases.

this game is driving me crazy bc the base game is just extremely mid but im playing the free update it got 5 years afterwards which I thought was an extra route but no its basically a full on linear retelling and it does everything better. i shouldn't have read the first 4 routes at all

I was thinking of how annoying I find the "childhood friend wakes mc up" type heroine and then I remembered Nayuki in canon who mostly fits the character archetype but she can't wake up herself. And I wondered if that's an intentional joke on it but then I got distracted by higumei nayuki (scary)
