Husband, Dad, and lifelong fan of sci-fi, comics, and great storytelling. I’m into graphic novels, movies, TV, and anything that dives deep into imagination and character. Also a devoted Star Trek fan.
I rewatched The Sopranos for the first time since it aired, and my brain deleted the last two seasons. It felt like seeing them fresh—except I knew how it all ended. And I HATED how Christopher meets his fate. I half expected him to whisper, “I gots to go now.”

I started Cruel Summer and it already feels like everyone is screwed.😆

Outland from Arrow Video came with a nice poster—the original movie art is on the back. I need to figure out how to flatten it and get the creases out so I can frame it and hang it in my office.

One thing that stands out is how the novel, the graphic novels I’ve read, and the game I’ve played all feel unified. It reminds me of the Star Wars novels I read twenty-something years ago—different authors, same continuity.

My son heard a joke at school but told it to me like it was a fact: “Giraffes don’t know what farts smell like.”🤣

I finished reading Haru Book 1 with my son tonight. He was really into it. I picked it up for the art, knowing it was an adventure story. The visuals grabbed him too. I had to explain a lot of the details on each page, but it was fun doing different voices for the characters.

Heavy Metal Magazine posted a Jean-Léon Huens painting, but I remember it from the cover of Beowulf: A New Telling. It took me right back to 6th grade.🥲

As a kid, I couldn’t tell if Grendel had big saggy boobs or a short, twisted torso with bent legs sinking into the muck.

Film Worker came out in 2018 but I just got around to seeing it. It's a must see if you're a Stanley Kubrick fan.

Leon Vitali gave up his acting career to become Stanley Kubrick's right-hand man.

I bought The Plot Holes because Sean Murphy wrote and drew it. I have no idea what it’s about.

It took me way too long to realize Edward James Olmos played Gaff in Blade Runner. When he showed up in Battlestar Galactica, he didn’t age, he just reshaped like Clayface mid-transformation.

My son won’t eat them because they’re rocket ships. I will, because I respect science.

This was a fun movie to watch with my wife.😆

I made it to the fourth Murderbot Diaries audiobook before realizing I wasn’t enjoying them as much while driving. They move too fast, and I tend to zone out or get distracted by traffic. I bought the physical copies and plan to start over.

If Michael Bay bought the rights to the Snorks and made a movie.

The concept and tone are strong. The payoff isn’t huge, but it has an interesting Lord of the Flies feel throughout with the kids.
