It was a ramshackle mix of stone and moss and wood and metal. Nonsensical architecture that allowed the wind to blow through the openings, almost like a series of perches that just stretched up into the night sky. But it was a tower, and it felt right.

I used to have a recurring dream where I was building a tower. for some reason I couldn't build the second floor, no matter how many times I tried. I stopped having the dream for a while and when it finally came back, I had built something completely different from what I had in mind.

It's totally just practice but also thinking of it as a whole composition! Lots of studying film + doing studies of photographs.

One thing that helped a lot was redrawing photographs and trying to change a few buildings or detail to understand how to match the perspective!
