In one of the shoeboxes of old family photos, this one with the caption "Mary and I in front of her house — the man is John Bosich — an Austrian".

No other information. Who's Mary? Where is her house? Who's "I"? I had no idea. So I got onto Ancestry with what I did know — the man is John Bosich.

While what jumps out at me is how he insults the poster by using RFKjr's anti-science lunacy to imply the guy is autistic...

It would be wrong NOT to call 911 if you see someone grabbing people off the street and can't tell who they are. I just hope that local police are actually checking ID and not just taking their word for it when someone claims to be a federal agent.

That DHS statement that ICE agents always have credentials visible and clearly announce who they are — so do the imposters!

And those two guys killed in Houston trying to get in someone's house, claiming they had a warrant... They apparently had visible badges too.

Isn't "paid anarchist" a bit of an oxymoron?

"...in celebration of the very freedoms that allow us to burn a flag... the freedoms that everyone who has ever worked in this magnificent building has pledged to preserve and protect..." 😉

It really is the only way you can maintain a for-profit healthcare system. 🙁

I miss having a stable government.

Weird that Musk claimed a list of his security clearances was an "invasion of privacy". I mean, that's the kind of thing that most people put on resumes.

At some point we're going to have to give up on for-profit health insurance (which is inherently immoral anyway), and create a national public healthcare system.

It really is the only practical solution.

That's an odd qualification for MAGAs to look for, given that Trump's ancestors didn't settle in the US until the 20th century.

"Why would we pay American workers if we can get away with not paying them?"

I have a feeling that the FBI has already stopped looking for a motive in the shooting/arson attack on the LDS church in Michigan.

If they found that a MAGA Christian Nationalist went on a crusade against Mormons in revenge for Charlie Kirk's murder, it would be... politically inconvenient.

Imaginary undercover operations into imaginary "leftist terror cells".

Certainly an inexpensive way to pretend like you're doing something about scary things.

Trump is a talk-on-the-phone guy. Everyone knows that. If he wanted to do an interview with Jake Tapper, he'd just call him.

Yikes. That's really hard to follow. Sounds like that one instructor is personally offended by all sorts of things that don't seem particularly coherent, and Tulane is just desperately trying to keep politically correct, whatever that happens to mean today.

Is this the incident where the feds claimed their vehicles were rammed by 10 cars and they had to fire in self-defense because something something terrorists armed with semi-automatic weapons?

I mean, it seems to be, but you have to squint hard to see the feds' version.

"Woah" is only for lolcats.

Guess it's not surprising that Stephen Miller always seems close to hysteria — must be stressful to constantly have his pants on fire like that.

Your use of the terms "US code" and "tradition" seems to be an effort not to come right out and say the Treasury's proposal is literally against the law.

"...the world would have been better off if England had won the American Revolution."

Well, the British Commonwealth countries are safer from the tyranny of a monarch than the US is, at this point.

I guess that's probably not what Yarvin was going for, though.

It's like the tulips, except they were a real thing that existed in the actual world.

HA!!!!!

If by "fix" he means that Republicans are trying to remove the few controls that keep some level of healthcare within financial reach of the majority (?) of the US population, sure.

It's weird that the American manosphere wants the US to be more like El Salvador, of all places.

I think of "mass shootings" as being random, while if people know each other and start shooting at at each other because they're angry about something, I think of those as "normal shootings" (how American is that? 😕)

Sounds like this was some of each.

It's surreal that we have a government made up of people who want to rewind civilization to the 12th century.
