The character didn't have a final design set in stone, so I could improvise and suggest a lot with it! There have been many back and forth to ensure it fits the character, and that was ton of fun!
And yeah, potions are a favorite of mine! :D

The node network is quite complex, in order to handle all the controls I felt were needed in this artwork. But in the end, it creates a good generic tool I might use in the future.

For this artwork I created a fishnets generator in geometry nodes, that takes a mesh and transforms it into a weaved fishnet.
It also re-projects to a target mesh (the skin below it) and simulates the curvature of the source mesh.
I can control the shape of each weave to make it more or less square.
A source mesh composed of square faces. A fishnet created from the source mesh. Each face has been replaced by a weave that is connected to its surrounding. We can see a variation in the shapes: the left model has square weaves and the right one has thicker, rounder forms.
