Went to all kinds of places I would otherwise have missed: Handel/ Hendrix, Leighton House, Birmingham jewellery museum etc etc

Art Fund would work well if you’re in London, covers half price to many big exhibitions, free entry to loads of smaller museums & houses. Plus free entry to a lot of stuff outside London including some NT, museums etc. usually an offer for first year too.

The late Jane Birkin was descended from the Lace Market Birkins. The coat of arms of the Plumptres, reputedly from the house, is embedded inside the carriage arch. I’m working on TC Hine at the moment, his scrapbooks (held by Uni of Nottm) are full of all kinds of autographs and ephemera.
