From what I've heard, the TTC has taken this opportunity to phase in the less controversial service changes they proposed. Metrolinx has constructed a temporary bus terminal at Don Valley station while the LRT terminal is being completed, allowing service to be extended or rerouted to "Don Valley"

Trying to make better use of GTFS-RT alerts at work. Now, when service detours, one alert will mark stops closed so trip planning apps like @transit.app stop sending you to closed stops while a second alert will advise for the entire route. Goal is to reduce confusion during detours.

It's appalling how unproductive LA Metrolink service is. Metrolink carries 21.3k daily riders with 174 round trips. In comparison, West Coast Express does 7.1k daily with only 5 round trips. Metrolink is running 35x as many round trips with only 3x the ridership. LA deserves better for regional rail

Metrolink is running 34% more service for only 10% more cost by running a clock face, bi-directional service pattern.

Ridership will not grow when replacement buses can make streetcar journeys in half the time and ten-minute corridors see four vehicles arriving at once then none for half an hour. The 2003 ridership growth strategy was successful since it prioritised service first. We need that type of vision again.
