Let’s be honest getting work done on a plane is NOT ideal. Cramped seats, tiny tables, endless waiting for security & boarding… you never get much done 😒

With Nox, you’ll have a private cabin to work (or relax 😎) and actually make the most of your trip!

30% of women don’t feel safe on night trains.

Women-only compartments exist, but as soon as you step out for the bathroom and you’re back with strangers

At Nox, we go further:
👉 Women-only coaches on every train.

Safety and peace of mind aren’t optional they’re standard 🚆

That’s why we believe Nox can be one of the most reliable modes of transportation in Europe. Ever!

The night isn’t a limitation, it’s our superpower 💪🌙

Even if we depart 1h late at night…
…we can still roll into your morning destination on time ✅🚆

Of course, we will be late sometimes, but by having no commercial stops during the night and extra time in the timetable, we’re increasing our chances to be on time upon arrival!
August 15, 2025 at 3:13 PM
But other night trains have the night too, right?

Here, we’re taking reliability seriously, and this is why we will have:

✅ No commercial stops from 23:00–06:30
✅ Extra time in every timetable

Increasing our flexibility in case of unexpected route closures and reliability to arrive on time ⏱️

Unlike night trains, day trains run with a thin margin for error.
They need to get from A to B as fast as possible, make multiple stops, and hit the timetable exactly.

One hiccup = delays, cancellations, chaos 💀

🐾 Pet owners, we hear you! 🐶🐱

Travelling with pets today is a struggle, that’s why Nox will welcome dogs & cats onboard 🚆💙

With private rooms, your furry friends can travel comfortably by your side.

How can we make it even easier for you? 👇

Stay tuned for more… 👀

Next time you fly, try adding up the real cost of getting from A to B… it might surprise you 💸✈️

What did your last trip really cost? And how can we make night trains even better? 👇🚆
August 4, 2025 at 7:08 AM
“Why take a 12-hour train when I can fly in 1 hour?” ✈️

Because that “1-hour flight” is never just 1 hour.

Airport trip, security, boarding, delays, ground transport… it’s 6+ hours door to door. ⏱️

Flying wastes your day.
Nox moves you while you sleep 😴

When we published Nox, we received a lot of questions about families 🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒

Here’s the answer for families who want to travel on our trains in the future 🚆👇

So here’s our message to the people in charge 👇

Improve your rail infrastructure 🛤️✅

Boost cross-border capacity🛤️✅

Make Europe faster, more reliable and more connected 🚆 🇪🇺

Give operators the chance to bring better trains to everyone!

Our planet needs it 🌍

Bucharest 🇷🇴 Sofia 🇧🇬 Zagreb 🇭🇷 Belgrade 🇷🇸 … ?

We see real demand in this region but track quality is quite bad…

That makes our trains too slow and unreliable to compete with flying ❌
June 27, 2025 at 2:42 PM
Lisbon 🇵🇹 Vilnius 🇱🇹Tallinn 🇪🇪… ?

They use wider-gauge tracks, incompatible with European trains.
Yes, there are plans to fix this (such as Rail Baltica) but progress is painfully slow.

So we can’t plan around them (yet) ❌
June 27, 2025 at 2:42 PM
Take London and the UK🇬🇧

We’d love to go (✈️ numbers are crazy 📈)

but the Channel Tunnel and HS1 access charges are up to 50x higher than elsewhere in Europe.

No capacity at St Pancras. And Brexit… didn’t help!

Technically possible 🛠️✅ economically not 💰 ❌
June 27, 2025 at 2:42 PM
“Why aren’t you going to London, Lisbon, Bucharest, Tallinn…?”

Fair question. When we published Nox, we got a lot of comments about where we’re going and where we’re not.

Here’s a little thread on how we picked our routes 🧵👇

We’re just getting started 😎

Follow us to see how we’re working to make night trains affordable and truly sustainable 🌍🚆
June 20, 2025 at 4:01 PM
At Nox, we’re rethinking the model:

✅ Standardized trains
✅ Efficient layouts
✅ Private cabins
✅ Scalable operations

Ready to compete with air travel ✈️
June 20, 2025 at 4:01 PM
And don’t forget the track access fees, tolls train operators pay to use the rails 🛤️

At night, they don’t disappear!

They just get more expensive per passenger. 💰
June 20, 2025 at 4:01 PM
Night trains operations are also complex 😶‍🌫️

They often split or merge during the night!

That needs more: trains drivers, station staff, shunting crew, onboard crews (working in multiple shift…)
June 20, 2025 at 4:01 PM
A typical night train carries ~300 passengers.

A similar-length day train? Over 500

That means less revenue per train — even before looking at staffing or costs 👇
June 20, 2025 at 4:01 PM
Then there’s how night trains are built and operated.
Most try to do everything at once:

💺 Seats

🛏️ Couchettes

🛌 Luxury sleepers

And sometimes even a dining car 🍽️

But that mix kills efficiency ❌
June 20, 2025 at 4:01 PM
First: tax breaks

Airlines don’t pay fuel taxes or VAT on tickets in most countries.

Trains do.

So from the start, the system is tilted in favor of air travel✈️💸
June 20, 2025 at 4:01 PM
Our research confirmed it ✅

A bed in a shared night train compartment often costs €100 or more and if you want privacy, feel free to book a private compartment but it’s usually much higher money💸

That’s just not competitive with flying ✈️

But why? 🧐
June 20, 2025 at 4:01 PM
We’re building Nox — a new generation of European night trains🌙🚆

And one question kept coming up as we talked to over 100 travelers and businesses… 🧐

Why are night trains so expensive? 💰

A thread …🧵
