Interesting information, thanks. I just learned that this mouse worked proportionally, while previous versions emulated a joystick. Looking really forward to trying this thing for the first time now. 🙂

Yes, you're right. 😅 The set also came with a 28.8k modem (top right, under the Wizard of Wor cart), which I assume isn't correct, either. I took that picture straight after unboxing, not pictured are tons of cables and boxes of floppies that also came with it.

Not only the R4. Looking at the sheer number of Pro Fighter clones alone that were around in the SNES era I'm convinced it was the same back then already.

Yes, that's the old news. The discovery that the threading library he talks about was lifted from RTEMS is what triggered the archival of the HBC repository.
