This is a good starter pack of inspirations from movies and shows that I love for my performance as Pinnec in "Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment." I love the stern-but-secretly-warm-hearted-veteran-warrior trope and it seems to suit my voice.

I would love to have listened in at the Hasbro meeting where they decided that the characters in the classic family board game Clue needed to look more horny.

Seriously, my excitement when I first saw the artwork and knew I would get to voice a character this FIERCE. #hyrulewarriors #ageofimprisonment

Dental cleaning this morning and the dentist was satisfied with the state of things so naturally I am triggering a tooth hygiene BRUTALITY right after.

Here we go! I know this announcement has had some stutters; but I wanted to ensure I was respecting Nintendo's wishes for promotional efforts. So here's confirmation that my role in "Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment" is as the Rito Warrior Pinnec! #hyrulewarriors #ageofimprisonment

Rewatched the last "Mission: Impossible" and it's hilarious how Esai Morales's Gabriel goes full sneering villain camp amidst the Messianic self-seriousness. There's a bit where he slams a gate with a smirk that reads: "Yes, your one weakness...METAL BARS! SEE YOU AGAIN, ETHAN HUNT!" (scurries away)

Downtown Chicago still holds magic for me, so part of my anniversary celebration with Claire involved taking a river cruise complete with tales of ghosts and mobsters. (1/3)

I wouldn't call this a fully-gourmet restaurant, but everything was rich and tasty, they made a tremendous Beef Wellington, and this gentleman would come to your table if you were celebrating a birthday or anniversary.

As a man who grew up before we knew much about the autism spectrum or how food sensitivity could link to it, I have LOTS of negative childhood memories as the underweight "picky eater." Every taste introduced to my palate was a win. So I'm celebrating my first taste of haggis as a BOSS FIGHT VICTORY

Claire had the inspiration that we should cap off our Gomez/Morticia cosplay by having a sword duel at our friends' party. Important to note that I have never done ANY sword work as an actor. The fact that we were able to put this together that morning shows you what a great teacher she is.

Chicago definitely knows from coffeeshop vibes.

That's a bonafide Deep Cut Gomez! Thanks :)

Halloween party last night so Claire finally got the couples' cosplay she's wanted to do since we started dating. There may also be video of us having a swordfight in the backyard.

Hey, we landed another one! "Pizza Time Pizza" is getting some real festival love out there - the Idyllwild fest happens in March; I love a road trip into the mountains, let's go!

I'm watching "Galaxy of Terror" on Shudder and it's like a missing link in the "Alien" franchise - Roger Corman ripping off the original for pennies on the dollar only the production designer is JAMES CAMERON and he's clearly workshopping stuff he'll use later in "Aliens." Plus baby Robert Englund!

Post-"Star Wars" everyone was rushing to make their own space epics and while a lot of things "failed" financially they're beautiful relics of a moment. Around this time Disney also had "The Black Hole" - another movie whose techniques nobody would follow up on but has such a gorgeous look.

Saw a production of the musical version of "Little Women" on Saturday. I still remember most of Professor Bhaer's lines and melodies from the two times I played him. This pic is from the second time, back in '16 at the Chance Theater. I'm too old for the role now but I always loved doing it.

Busy week on the personal front last week so I didn't get to share this - "Pizza Time Pizza" is coming back to the Midwest and back to Wisconsin and November's Weyauwega Film Festival! Hope this means Claire and I get to quest after more cheese.

Cast/crew/friends screening tonight for a no-budget indie feature called "Cell" that I have a juicy part in. I shot my scenes 2+ years ago and finally get to see how they fit into the finished product. Lots of great feedback on my work! And the filmmaker gave me a little cartoon of my character.

It looks like the story that's emerging is about a superfan, who's been procrastinating on finishing her final college paper so she could see the pop group she worships, finding out that a member of said pop group did something abominable and how can she possibly write a college paper now?

Tokyo Noir. Speakeasy in Long Beach. Food and drink both excellent. Recommend the Astro Boy cocktail.
