This week, the NY Phil presents the first-ever US performances of William Kentridge’s film “Oh To Believe In Another World” with live orchestra. Conducted by Keri-Lynn Wilson, the NY Phil performed Shostakovich 10 and Prokofiev’s 2nd violin concerto with Concertmaster Frank Huang.

We’re excited to share that Matías Tarnopolsky has been named the New York Philharmonic’s next President and CEO, beginning January 1, 2025.

Tarnopolsky is currently president and CEO of The Philadelphia Orchestra and Ensemble Arts.

This week’s concerts features: conductor Paavo Järvi, and pianist Yefim Bronfman, who is soloist in Beethoven’s 3rd Piano Concerto. The Orchestra also shines in Nielsen’s 5th, which features offstage percussion and Principal Clarinet, Anthony McGill.
