He is almost certainly correct. The US rarely punishes our own war criminals, and never when they're high ranking like him.

I'd play a Hitman game where 47 was a changeling. Or a mage. Or a Vampire...

Alt: Agent 47 from the Hitman franchise.

It's a shame that the US has no ability to credibly defend HRW given how many of their reports criticize us or our allies and all the censorship and threats we've levied against them for those reports.

I wish there were a way for regular people to put money on the proposition that AI is a scam that is going to fail in the next 5 years but I don't know exactly when.

You have a near 100% chance of winning that bet and lots of people would want to make it but there isn't an instrument for it.

We fundamentally have a problem that once you do something evil enough, you are immune from ever facing consequences. That's a very bad incentive system. Worse crimes should result in worse punishment, not rewards!

I get that the powers in part 3 are when Araki starts to go crazy so if you're in it for weird spectacle, it's not a bad place to start. But if that's what you want, why not skip to part 5 where they're the most insane and go back later?

Also, the misogyny in the first few episodes of Stardust Crusaders is so much worse than Phantom Blood or Battle Tendency despite those two having the excuse of being period pieces.

Not that it gets better as the series goes on but ease us into it at least instead of starting with the manifesto.

I like hamon better than stands. I know, I know, blasphemy. But everyone having the same basic tool that they use in creative ways is just more interesting to me than this X-men style free for all.

Anybody can do anything with arbitrary restrictions you can sometimes ignore is less satisfying.

My hottest take on Christianity is that Paul was influenced by the devil to undercut Jesus. The man has all sorts of differences from what Jesus teaches and assholes love to pick him over Jesus when the two conflict.

Isn't that the game that has old man yaoi with a twink-droid cop?

"She's a slut" is not what I think of the most textbook case of grooming imaginable.

One of the big takeaways from Ed Zitron's most recent piece is that these AI companies are straight up lying about inference costs by at least double, maybe more. That implies that even if these companies gave up on training new models, they'd have to raise prices.

Notice that "withdraw to legally defined borders", "end the colonial project", and "pay restitution for genocide" aren't even options they could pick.

Dio literally kicks a puppy in his second scene (he murders his father in his first) and taunts the protagonist so they are forced to apologize on behalf of the dog. And it just spirals from there.

There was no need to keep going but Araki needed our Dio hatred to last 946+ chapters.

Ugggh. I'm in a YouTube TV household because they're better at sports (you can follow teams directly to record all their games on the DVR; I don't think other platforms do that?).

I'll probably pirate it for a rewatch eventually.

Blueberry syrup from IHOP?

Did they ever fix the price tag?

Shame that moral clarity doesn't last when it comes to Stroheim.
