My grandma had passed away today. If not for her owning a Nintendo 64 with Banjo-Tooie, I don't think I'd be who I am today.

Sorry for the lack of updates to BKGRR recently.

Remodeling my basement, my childhood dog‘s showing signs of twilighting and my grandma having a stroke in the course of the last few weeks has been rough on my motivation.

For anyone interested what the dialogue was:
"THE ORACLE WILL SAY THAT CAULDRONS ARE FOUND TO CUT LONG JOURNEYS INTO SHORT TRIPS. ASK NO MORE ON THIS SUBJECT."

It wasn't used in the prototype like many other Oracle strings, a leftover from Grunty's Curse, I assume.

Warp Cauldrons were once planned, as there is unused dialogue in the prototype about them. I think having a Warp Silo situation would be nice once you complete the level.

The idea is to emulate objectives rather than squeeze them all into the same world space. I think adding new subareas helps create the limitations from the original while also giving a unique spin.

Collapsing Tunnel concept art for BKGR Reimagined. #BanjoKazooie

I think this is the only direct reference to Banjo-Tooie original to BKGRR. Using the sing-a-long pad outside the tunnel, Banjo must navigate through it within the time frame or be kicked out.

My attempt to add a time-travel gimmick.

One of the things I want to do is emulate challenges from all versions of the game. That's why Vinyls, Vinyl parts, Memorabilia and Cheato Pages exist. They take up the challenges that would otherwise been scrapped.

Added TheGrybo on as a composer. Using their tracks and the tracks from !!!!!, I have finished Cottage Cliff Farm's OST in preparation for Demo 1. Other updates is localization and pre-planning as well as game design doc. #BanjoKazooie

Does this sound like Banjo-Kazooie dialogue for a boss? BKGR: Reimagined will cover cut content. The mad cow only has a single line referencing her from the Jinjo Oracle via scrapped dialogue. #BanjoKazooie

I'm re-adding scrapped dialogue for BKGR:Reimagined and translating it with DeepL, if it already has an existing piece of dialogue, I'll tack it onto the preexisting translation.

Anyone who speaks any of these languages, does the translated dialogue read OK? #BanjoKazooie

I have a spreadsheet of every string in Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge separated by language and whether its a prototype or not. There are 815 unique lines of dialogue. About a quarter of it wasn't used. #BanjoKazooie

I reached out to Grybo who was doing the compositions for Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge Redone mod to see if I can use his tracks. If I get the go ahead, I'd love to repurpose his "redundant" tracks to other areas. I have a Cliff Farm interior theme, but his is so different. Adds some extra spice.

Actually might change the name to GRUNTY’S STRONGHOLD. It’s a callback to furnace of fun and it uses the scrapped name of the cut world from Banjo-Kazooie Grunty’s Curse.

Running an idea through you guys.

I was thinking the final quiz dubbed WINKYBUNION TOWER for BKGRR would take the Jeopardy approach. Three rounds. The collectibles would be as if the quiz show was its own level. Gives it a unique flair from ToT and FoF. #BanjoKazooie
