it’s only ever been US exceptionalism and corporate socialism that made strodes an seemingly viable urban plan for humans — if the US were ever to redeem itself as a champion of democracy it would make good on the promise of its preamble to the Constitution and not stand in the way of this change

we have the means, what we lack is the collective will to change. if we are EVER to redeem the American experiment it would not be by any one nation but by the spontaneous uprising of its people demanding organic growth (distinct from profit driven growth that funnels wealth away from communities)

...from there, we would have a foothold in re-shaping politics from ground up, to make it start working for we the people, for we the rank and file Americans--North and South, all skin tones, all the genders, the whole complex--who just want safe streets where kids can play and bike.
