Surprised Young MC is only #2. Is there anything more humiliating than having a “greatest hits” collection that is just an abridged version of the debut?

When I got into 70s disco, it was a shock to hear the original “Love Sensation”: the same vocal track as “Ride On Time” but the song has a completely different feel. Lush and grand compared to the frantic RoT. Plus the lyrics made sense.

Oh fuck.

I just looked up the lyrics and apparently the line is “we are tired of all the darkness in our lives”. I would’ve sworn it was “so tired”.

I never thought a film would have me marvel at how Moose Jaw in no way resembles West Berlin, but that was just one of the many remarkable aspects of The Apple.

Living the dream

You see the national conversation is now turning to forcing people into treatment and that’s a huge can of worms in itself. Not just in terms of personal autonomy, not just about us not having the capacity to provide it, but also: is there such a thing as effective treatment at all?

It’s something I just can’t wrap my head around, how taking these drugs could ever seem like one’s best option. Granted this was a curated response, but a saw a clip where they asked one user what he felt when he was in that state and his answer was “nothing”.

It’s 2025. Not much is illegal anymore.
