I need help. I am doing all I can to figure out income avenues & make sure I can keep my family housed and safe. To do this, I need a vehicle. But I can't afford a vehicle w/o more income. I'm in a catch-22. Please share!

I am Elizabeth (Also known as Sour or Zedd). I am one of many weirdos who lives on the other side of your screen. I have been without full-time work since 2021 and now without a regular paycheck since May of this year. I am a full-time caretaker for my mom and am disabled myself. After my ex took the vehicle in our separation, I was blessed last year with a vehicle from a friend. We knew the vehicle was temporary, but we had hope in being able to keep it going until I once again was working well enough to purchase something. We spent over $1000 on the vehicle (a 2003 Honda Pilot) over the last year. Recently, I noticed one of the belts on the vehicle was fraying, and we took it in. When we heard back last week what was wrong with it, I was to be honest, devastated. It needed not only the belts to be replaced, but substantial work. And that just for it to be safely driven, it was going to be a minimum of 3 times the value of the vehicle. We just do not have the money for such repairs. As both my mom and I are medically complex, along with multiple senior animals, having a working vehicle is a necessity. We live in the suburbs and I cannot walk the distance to the nearest pharmacy, let alone to a doctor's or vet's office. I am very fortunate to have the community I have that has supported me as much as they can, through rides and even borrowing vehicles. This is not sustainable or safe with several of the medical issues we have. I have an amazing person in my circle who is able to help somewhat with obtaining a vehicle, but they cannot just buy me one outright (nor would I want them to). We spoke and decided that trying to crowdfund the rest of the cost of a vehicle would be best. I am not looking for anything fancy. My goal is to find something as inexpensive as possible with a reasonable price range of 2-3k. I need something that is safe and will get us from point A to point B. If you can help with that in any way, at any amount, it would be incredibly appreciated. I cannot express how much I wish I did not need to ask for help, at all, but especially not again. I know everyone is struggling right now, and I want to be helping my community, not leaning on it. If you cannot help financially, just sharing this will help. More eyes mean more chances for help. With a final goal of $2500 from here, my hope is we can get a vehicle that meets our needs, is safe, and will not need major repairs for at least the first year. This will allow me more opportunities for income and to save money. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this!

I don't know who needs to hear this, but polyamory doesn't mean you have to settle for less time/energy/commitment. Your partner having other partners isn't a reason to sacrifice what you need to feel loved/valued. You deserve to have your needs met by people who are willing and able to meet them ❤️

Knowing my time is coming to an end with my cat Jack is very hard. We may have days, weeks, months left. I monitor him every day. I see his pain increasing & I see him wanting to sleep more and more.

Started super low doses of gabapentin, prednisolone, & a joint supplement this wk, here's hoping!

I think I'm shaking I'm so angry.

I just looked up dosage for cats for gabapentin. This is what Neela was on for the year before she died. They had her on 50mg a dose, x2 daily. Looking up proper dosage for cats for her weight it should have been max 8mg per dose.

I miss her so much. I'm so mad

I just want to open a rescue & help the cats and dogs in my community. I want to be a place people can go to if they need help caring for their animals & if they have to rehome they know I will make sure their baby finds the best forever home possible. I want to bring comfort to souls suffering.

Why has Walmart changed their delivery order process? I don't want a shopper, I want an employee to shop and then a delivery driver to deliver it. I can't afford a higher tip, which is why I order at least a day in advance & now my phone is blowing up with "we are out of this items, how's this sub?"
