Another point - there has been - and still is - a deep generational shift in attitudes & treatment of our indigenous people. What I saw as a little kid in outback & country is a vast chasm away from what I've seen in recent years. Overall trend is really encouraging, and that gives me great hope

Yes Australia is flawed; but I've seen enormous positive cultural shifts over my lifetime, and change continues. Migration has always been fundamental in progress

It all depends on context. My country might not have the cultural sophistication of Europe, but we make up for it with multiculturalism - ❤️ it.
My concern re migration is our fragile ecosystem & loss of habitat due to pressures of expanding population - we cannot sustain rapid growth
