I care insofar as much as I don’t want there to be 5 desserts and 2 sides and 3 people who can’t eat anything because of dietary restrictions, but that’s all more about planning than what the literal food is.

There are multiple cools, and I’m more concerned with making the dinner being a disorganized sh*tshow—e.g., 5 people in the kitchen Thursday afternoon & nothing done before 9pm—than what we actually eat.
