Woke up with a knot of anxiety. The Canada Post strike is hitting small businesses hard, last year nearly broke us, this year could finish the job. Fingers crossed for inperson markets, and for all of us trying to hang on

If you've visited Signal Hill over the past couple of years and were lucky, you got to meet Sable, the Newfoundland Dog and Ambassador extraordinaire! Here, Sable is doing a best dog job of keeping an eye on the narrows!

Had a couple of great days hanging out at Cape St. Mary's. This is the latest I have visited and I was completely infatuated with the young gannets just starting to learn to fly.

When I was in Cape St. Mary's on Friday the fog was as thick as pea soup, could barely see the colony and I was unsure if any of the shots I was taking would amount to anything at all. Pleasantly surprised, these look dramatic and so different from what we usually see!

It was a wet, foggy and wild day today at Cape St. Marys but did manage to get a few shots, including this family group of Gannets. I've never been there this late and this is the oldest I have seen the chicks, they are amazingly different from the adults!
