There’s a markdown export feature I’ve done which I need to ship as well. This means I can export the whole lot to .md files and images which could be dumped into a static site generator and (pretty much) just work (styling aside). Close to zero lock in is the goal. Your data, not mine!

This feature will allow me to replace my long-standing headey.net personal site by merging it with my Pagecord. I’d have to migrate old posts (easy for me as Pagecord owner! ☺️) but my whole online techie presence could then exist in Pagecord on my olly.world domain. Pretty sweet.

Thought about this latest Ruby drama a lot. I ❤️ Rails and I’m thankful for it, so by association to DHH even if his political blog posts wind me up. Frankly, what he chooses to write is his business and I don’t think it affects Rails. Don’t read it if it gets you worked up. Life’s too short, srsly.

I think it's probably time to stay off social media entirely – except Instagram, for now (because IRL friends and 📷). It's just so divisive. Maybe I'll go cold turkey until the new year?
