Thought taking a boxing class would be a good outlet for just being able to move my body and burn up energy, but dang some weeks I only have enough energy to produce the soggiest, weakest jab at a Bob's sternum, and then hug it to "readjust" not because I'm winded or anything.. 👀

Haven't had a chance to take in any game dev discourse/news/job postings since becoming a full-time barista. Hoping things level out soon + muscles get used to the new routine movements, and I can continue the game dev hustle just a little longer.

It's been a bit of trial and error, but I've finally nailed down a word processor doc format for the game dialogue that I'm happy with that incorporates traditional script writing and translates well to the yarnspinner logic flow, plus the resulting blocks of code! Little wins. ✨

So after being laid off 6 months ago I've finally landed a job as a barista (and not for lack of trying, believe me), because if I'm not finding work in games, making coffee is kinda the only other skill I have to fall back on. 🥹☕

I always forget how much glitter is on a Christmas card until I open the pack and it gets all over my hands . . . and then immediately beginning my written message with "I apologize for the blight of Christmas glitter I have wrought upon your family this holiday season." :( It's everywhere now.

Honestly, I took breaks from testing by laying face up on the floor, mumbling "this game's gonna have a rabid fanbase when it drops. . . ." in equal parts dread and excitement.
