'A tale is but half told when only one person tells it' -so starts the 5🌟 EXCELLENT #GlassWoman by Caroline Lea. The book positively 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘶𝘮𝘴 with menace as you hear Rósa's oppressive new life as Jón's wife, but later you hear Jón's story too & all is not quite as it seems. Totally gripping #BookSky 🇮🇸

Photograph of Gljufrabui, a waterfall in Iceland. The waterfall is through a narrow canyon. the photograph is from inside the canyon looking out. On either side of the photograph, there are cliff walls covered in green moss. The waterfall is in the centre of the photograph.

A tribute to the many magnificent waterfalls in Iceland that I visited on my driving holiday around the island (there are several not shown here too) #Holiday #Iceland #Waterfalls

They're so funny! Not for nothing are they called the clowns of the sea 😂

Icelandophile, to cover both bases (with waterfalls, glaciers and volcanoes thrown in for good measure) 😍🇮🇸

But you have the time and proximity, whereas we're cramming a year of residence into a couple of weeks 😂

Aww, Mimi! She looks super soft, like she is mainly undercoat with not too much guard hair?

Very true...although in fairness, hearing útlendingar pronounce ANY place names in Iceland is pretty much a giveaway 😂 I'm aware of the pronunciation rules and you'd think therefore I could make a half decent fist of it...but still to Íslendingar my renderings make me stick out like a sore thumb 😂

😻 Misty has a white chin tho - I admire yours having a stylish coloured one, that's going the extra mile! What's their name?
onefootiniceland.bsky.social
You're correct, but also right in that it's not very widely known any more 😊

Along the lines of your Fordwich thing, I was expecting Herstmonceaux to be pronounced Hem-see or similar, but it confounded me by apparently being pretty much as it looks 😂

Our 1st attempt to visit Grettislaug was foiled by snow & we had to turn back (tho we did get to enjoy a troll profile in the cliffs as some compensation!) But this year we made it all the way & had it to ourselves! Where's your fave #geothermal ♨️? #GeothermalThursday
