Dude, from the limited knowledge I have, 2D stuff is a lot harder apparently, and not cheap if you have someone else do it for you, so I'd just ask a professional for tips

You wanna know why a lot of them dont say anything? Because every one of them that is in a company is under an NDA which pretty much means that they cant talk about certain things, thats how I also know about a few lawsuits involving such conflicts as what you spoke about
