Hello! This is my thread of film reviews for 2025 - Bluesky edition! Bet you're glad you left Twitter now, eh.
A ★★★★ review of Lethal Weapon (1987)
The 80s Xmas X! I'd never seen someone eat cocaine in a film before when I first saw Lethal Weapon. And I haven't seen anyone do it since.

The Light asking me if I'll be buying tickets to see Fackham Hall and clearly misjudging how much I hate myself.

This commercial for French's Mustard from 1987 is equal parts charming and also kinda unsettling, but what strikes me is the work that went into the absolutely delightful puppetry and practical effects for a *mustard commercial*!! Imagine that today??

All I'm saying is that we need to hold off on the Netflix / Warner discourse until we discover what this means for The Nice Guys 2.

I am starting EMDR in the New Year. Which sounds like an upcoming drug habit or becoming a DJ, delete as applicable.

Hearing surprising news that United fans are busting out the poverty shaming chants. Must be December then!

I've been watching Eddington for 4 minutes and is there any reason to continue?

My brain can't comprehend the Bears being a good team. After 40 years it just can't do it.

This was once my avatar on a forum I was on 20 years ago called El Saano. Absolutely ridiculous that I just stumbled across it after all this time!

It's Wake Up Dead Man Day, lads!

Absolutely bizarre that United wouldn't do a minute's silence or applause for Mani considering they walk out to a Stone Roses song. The fuck.

A product of working-class Manchester and its second-generation Irish culture, Stone Roses bassist Mani — who has died aged 63 — was the ultimate team player, and an embodiment of socialist values in his life and art.

Mani lived just down the road from me. Bumped into him a good few times around the shops. Always a nice bloke, always chatting to people. Not to mention being one of the greatest musicians Manchester has ever produced. He'll be hugely missed.

An hour in to 28 Years Later and I'm quite grateful I didn't pay to see it!

Ballon d'Or nominee Scott McTominay does it again.

Fucking hell.

The trailer for that new Now You See Me is absolutely pathetic.

been thinking a lot about this and honestly i want to know how different UK churches and institutions would be, if at all. couple of our local places i have faith in (lol) but i don't know if that's true on a wider basis
There's this woman doing an absolutely wild social experiment on TikTok. She calls random US churches with the sound of a baby crying in the background, explain the baby hasn't eaten in over 12 hours, and asks for 1 bottle of baby formula. She has a public spreadsheet of how each one responded. 1/3

As suspected, I have raised a creature of the night.

Maybe this hasn't been a very good year for the films.

A radio programme like the Shipping Forecast but it’s called Bin Day and it just reads out every single council in the country’s bin schedule
