It's hard to find another game where you can commit to a bit this hard and have fun doing it. Wanna be an alcoholic that throws hammers at perps? Do it.
It has a lot of little problems that are hard to overlook completely but a very good game overall.

Calling it anything other than bad is misleading, but it was not as bad as I was led to believe. With a couple small tweaks I could see this being remembered *much* more fondly.
I'm not even sure it's among the worst Sonic games.
