Republicans have moved from killing the incentive programs that speed delivery of the cheapest and cleanest energy to consumers to actively taxing them, actively raising the prices on the most affordable electricity
The new bill in Congress puts a new tax on wind and solar. They’re taxing clean energy to give your money to billionaires.
The most intense part of this bill is a new excise tax on wind and solar projects above FEOC content threshholds (!!!)

Given the sprawling nature of FEOC, that might pull in all sorts of projects with unmanageable new tax liability

Tax the sun, tax the wind eh #energysky

I actually love this idea. I wish we could implement it.

We aren’t United anyway, so what does it hurt?

I bet you can think of someone you have been there for… (Or somone who has been there for you.) Someone, somewhere is still deeply inspired by your kindness and profoundly grateful for the compassion you shared during a challenging time.

This number isn’t high enough for the GOP. That’s why they’re trying to pass Trump’s disastrous “Big Beautiful Bill”.

Here’s the point I hope lands:

If you’re a dad, let your kids see the real you. The full you. Not just the disciplinarian, not just the provider. Show them the side that your friends know. The kindness. The laughter. The person who shows up for people. That’s part of parenting too.

What do these corporations have in common?

Netflix
Ford
Tesla
T-Mobile
Duke Energy
DISH Network
Metlife
Dominion Energy
United States Steel

In recent years, they all paid their execs more than they paid in taxes.

This is what a corporate-rigged system looks like.

This is such a key point!

The Right is eagerly using “polarization” laments as a strategy to shift blame and attention away from the extremism they exhibit, support, and enable. If “division” is the actual problem, isn’t that at least as much the “Left’s” fault?

Just start jailing people for contempt of court until they find out.

The U.S. is the only major country on Earth that does not guarantee workers a paid vacation.

When a husband, wife & kids are unable to spend any time together on vacation, that is not a family value. It's an attack on everything a family is supposed to stand for.

Unacceptable.

Autism didn’t make them do it. Mental illness didn’t, either. This personal piece from The Big Picture cuts through the excuses and names the real issue: some people are just hateful, and we need to stop giving them cover.
Neither Neurodivergence Nor Mental Illness Made Them Bigots—They're Just Awful People
It's hard to admit your heroes are jerks, but the mentally ill and neurodivergent shouldn't be collateral damage.
