I returned to the Uni of Queensland in 2018 to study ancient history (decades-old unfinished business). After two years each of Latin and classical Greek, I'm taking a break for six months before continuing advanced Greek in mid-2025.

I'm at the "trying to write someone's name half in Greek characters" stage of learning. I suppose that's a good thing.
(They would have known that -ν- was actually an -n-, wouldn't they?)

I'm at the "head being done in" stage of learning (intermediate) classical Greek, but I still love writing Greek characters. Much more than I've ever enjoyed writing with the Latin alphabet.
