thank you so much for the insight! yea i don't want to rush the experience, going to get it as a bday gift for myself next month. 45-48 is big, i think i 100% Moon at 32hrs so i imagine the game having actual battles extends the experience too.

can i ask how many hours it took to complete? i'm hoping to have some free time next month to be able to play it and just want to have an idea of what the time investment might look like to schedule appropriatley.

For sure in the lore of Metroid I’m sure it is consistent with the world they’ve created. I’m not questioning the “canon”though, more just looking at the concept of a comically exotic as u say large gun next to a smaller one and the symbolism of weapons as limbs
