Good snacks (I actually keep note of friends’ favorites/dietary restrictions/food allergies), a creative hobby and empathy. Everything else is negotiable.

The bar is literally on the ground and so many men opt to start digging. I think it’s part of why it took me so long to recognize my own bisexuality.

I’ll admit that I didn’t catch all the references, but at least recognized Furter, Banner, Richards and Crusher.

“Gee, Ricky, I’m sorry your mom blew up.”

I could buy a machine-made scarf and it would probably be mostly adequate, at least for a season or two. In the winter I wear a scarf that my wife made by hand, for the joy of creation and craftsmanship, almost 10 years ago.

Absolutely agree with all of this - after spending time exploring I came out the other side like 90% cis, 10% agender. Realizing I didn’t feel any euphoria when people identified me (at a distance) as a woman made me go “sundresses are great leisure wear but I’m still mostly male.”

I do have friends who stream and are very, very good at it, but watching/listening to others playing games just doesn’t work for me.

Possibly? I don't really watch or listen to actual plays for RPGs that often; my brain just goes "nope, can't do this, turn it off" when I try.

It was a nightmare largely because it was being run by a DM who has poor time management skills, prioritizes “making it cinematic” at the expense of the rest of the game and has become increasingly reliant on ChatGPT for everything. Also he sold tickets for a live audience to be present.

“Better Off Dead” with John Cusack is my vital, must-watch Christmas movie.

Gremlins always gets left out of Christmas movie discourse.

I spent so much time as a kid memorizing what to do if I stumbled into quicksand. I can’t tell if I should be disappointed or not that that knowledge has not been needed.

I like the “anti-Santa” vibe with the beard and the cut of the coat!

I love Verity.

And it’s extra disappointing because I’ve been super happy with this location in the past!
