In talks with our ESRI sales rep, speaking of ArcGIS Desktop's future and how long it'll be for old shapefiles to stop being used and how that'll depend on government users. "Some necromancer at CalTrans is going to create shapefile zombies" was his input, and I love it!

Southwest starts charging for checked bags, which for me is great - it cements my interest in flying Alaska Airlines so much more now. If investors really wanna kill a brand, this is how you do it: all at once and not some slow tug at the bandaid like Boeing.

In a wave of nostalgia for precedented times, I'll be going to see Nine Inch Nails in concert here in August. This time I'll wear earplugs and hydrate properly in advance.

I'm hung up on finding a certain track, I think it's called "Chocolate" and I thought it was on Nettwerk's Ultimate Chillout sessions vol 5. It's not, and I don't know the artist. Delirium? Not sure. Anyone know?

All other "This Is Fine"-stuff going on aside, I'm starting to sketch together my plan to transition into travel agent career here as I get closer to retirement. A dream will definitely *stay* just a dream if you don't start taking steps to make it happen, so here I go.

I'm sure there are certain employees working for certain places where sensitive information may fall into pretty bad hands. My thoughts would lean heavily towards encryption. Just saying.
