reading visual cues is not the same thing as reading text semantically, both are useful skills that will offer fulfilment throughout life, reading text-as-visuals is also vv important to comprehend any work made with intention. but. as an adjunct, y'know. neither *teaches you to read the dang word*

the traditional use case of ultra-long mortgages in residential is not to finance punishingly expensive real estate (though that can contribute, yes) but for tax planning. you see these in countries with wealth taxes, mostly.

The… variable… service has been more problematic as high volumes of it are showing up all at once. Everything stamped “do not bend” is getting bent, as a dozen things have to fit in the box.

I understand there is a political valence to the topic that frankly I do not give a damn about. Some neighbourhoods in Toronto feel strongly about an entitlement to door delivery. Okay. I have not had door delivery in… eleven years? I get a lot of mail. I get by.
