@tsutrav The good thing about a digital camera and the Moon is that you can try a lot of different things to see what works. The Moon moves slowly and all it cost you is the time to look through the results.

@tsutrav Moon picks are always tricky. The two with the largest moons were with my big zoom lens at 600mm magnification.

It’s the light that makes it tricky, though. It’s tough to catch the markings of the moon on an auto setting because those automated settings tend to try to let in more light […]

How do I end up with hundreds and hundreds of photos of sunsets to sort through? Trying to catch the light, which is tricky when the Sun is setting and the light is constantly changing.

That was a pretty good September Sunday. Slept in, took the MG TD for a drive, stopped by a classic-car cruise, watched the Detroit Lions win, caught the sunset, and then watched a truly terrible movie on #monsterdon. Entirely satisfactory.
