I'm in New England (Connecticut), I don't know anyone who had shingles. New England is fairly civilized. Most people can read, write, and count. And speak English fluently. Most people also believe in science. Especially medical science. I put on my mask when I see a red-hat in grocery checkout.

I use Veteran Admin healthcare system. Prior to Trump, as soon as you come in to VA healthcare, they fairly aggressively work at catching you up on vaccines. Shingles vax is a two shot series a few months apart. I got mine 30 yrs ago. No side effects for me.

If, as you imply, all in cost for (PV + battery + grid connect control) is "cheap enough" ---- What's stopping you from installing hundreds of solar sites, sell power to grid at market, make millions?
