I invested in a small flatbed scanner which really makes a difference.

True—there is an elusive nature to watercolor and I guess practice and experience makes you think you should get there again. 😀 but every piece has its own style.

Sometimes simple minimal strokes do amazing things. I so often get lost trying to add too many details. This is lovely and powerful!

Aah…the view I only hoped for in my 24 hour stay at Talkeetna! We were there about a year ago and it was quite solidly cloudy. Loved it anyway!

Always interesting to see which one you prefer after two tries. I always like parts of both but rarely go for a third try to combine the best of it. 😜

Second effort. I think I like I better than the first attempt. There are some good qualities to be found in both. This one has a consistent sky where it meets land, and scale is a bit better on the foreground rocky projections.
