Newcastle says no to fascism.

The far right brought a hundred or so with them, bussed from far and wide. This city turned out 1000s, from local communities, estates and streets. Geordies of all backgrounds coming together and outnumbering the purveyors of hate by some distance.

Newcastle united.

There's potential for a sketch comedy character who talks like this, a Colin Hunt for the clickbait generation.

It's ridiculous, isn't it? They've passed a tipping point where the clickbait AI junk has become utterly useless to humans. I inadvertently clicked on a Chronicle link about the new Stack in Newcastle and got this, unreadable nonsense:

"We were told thalidomide was a safe drug and it wasn't..."

Nigel Farage says he has 'no idea' if Donald Trump is right about paracetamol being linked to autism.

Ah, found the rule change: "The team fitness coach indicated on the match sheet may join the players warming up." And nothing stopping the "fitness coach" passing on tactical instructions...

Not a criticism of Barca, by the way. I presume there must have been a rule change. If so, for e.g., could #NUFC have Jason Tindall standing with the subs?

Question arising from #NUFC vs #FCB last night. Why did Barca have a coach standing with the subs who were warming up near the corner flag? He also walked behind the goal to pass instructions to the keeper. I thought the rule was "coaching staff are restricted to the confines of the technical area"?

In the new edition of my newsletter, out today, a young boy battles a boogle of weasels. Yes, "boogle".
It also features George Robledo, Sam Fender, and Nuremberg.
You can read "Attacked by Weasels" here:

I'm not sure how many of the extra seats in the new gaff will go to fans rather than expanded hospitality. I was 1500 in the Q today and didn't get a ticket, so there are obviously very few available in the members sale. Still hospitality tickets left for £1k+ though 👍

Thanks for the links, Richard. Have registered mine. I note it says submitting your info does not make you a member of the class suit, but hopefully it will have some bearing.

Here's my book about the Tyne Bridge, and it's ten times cheaper than the #NUFC away shirt:

Hmm. This says less "Tyne Bridge" and more "Saudi Arabia" to me. And yours for just £120... #nufc

Football fans: Ever been inside an empty stadium—on a tour, after a match—and felt something strange? A lingering echo of noise, emotion, presence, like it's still alive, even when no one is there? Have you ever experienced the uncanny atmosphere of an absent crowd? Let me know, for a thing... ⚽👻
