Huh, makes me think of that old cocnept of "sentient dinosaurs go to space, get lost, accidentally find there are humans now on earth, bam two earthlings meet"

always have been, since 1987

7) Michael Moorcock deserves a statue.

Dude is still alive and writing. Whichever town he's adopted should build a black sword about thirty feet high engraved with runes that casts a shadow like an enormous sundial counting down to the end of days.

Those were partaking in colonialism too, mind you, but ya, neither subject is fun

oh no it was a form of communist, just a tad mad cold war one
November 9, 2025 at 6:08 AM
You could argue some niche fringe branches are far left, like that one bunch of communists who thought we need to nuke the earth so aliens show up and help us rebuild.

oh she and her huge sisters

That for some reason feels oddly appropriate

Just makes me think of ending of wizard's movie, which is somewhat notorious with that idea

Oh this would be also awesoem for stealing stuff, you know, you already ripped them off but you could find security and brake in so easily

Slavic mythology has been at least somewhat collected by less bias sources, even if it was during same period, so its a bit better

Ok, didn't know the thing that you do during christmas eve is possibly pagan tradition, that is.....interesting.
The idea of leaving a plate for the dead

Also reading the source, adore how Žemaitija's reputation of "go away catholics, we do't like you" is true XD

I heard of that, so ya, and I heard dubious realiability claims that there were fairly notable number of areas for worship of some forest goddess....and the likely romantic depiction of her as a giant she-wolf, which I admit, probably not true, I find quite fun.
For like fiction writting

Granted, it's multiple of them, which is unclear if it's goddess, spirit or like something else, granted, if we gonna speculate, who knows, maybe every forest had a goddess and that's just how they all got called

Milda is not one I heard off, but Medeina or Žvėrūna are two names I have seen, which feel like ones I should be looking for.
And yes, checking the source thing I saw in the thread, "Medeinių" name is mentioned, so at least it's possible something to that effect existed.
October 23, 2025 at 11:02 AM
I like medeina on conceptual level, but not sure if she is real goddess or not, as the concept of her might work, but again not sure we got old sources for the idea, even if sticks around as a female name
