Good doorknocking session in Dennistoun with Cllr McDougall.
Nice to have such positive feedback on the work we've done to help people in the community and a few more issues were raised about private factors.

200 years ago today, the first passenger train ran between Stockton and Darlington.
Six years later, Scotland’s first railway service began on the Garnkirk & Glasgow Railway.
It passed through Springburn, which soon became the world's biggest centre of locomotive manufacturing.

My free historical walking tour of Springburn Park and Springburn Winter Gardens is back for Doors Open Day this Saturday at 1pm - meeting at the park gates on Broomfield Road.
There's also a public meeting at 4pm on Sunday in the Springburn Auditorium shed about the plan to restore Winter Gardens

HMS Glasgow, the first in class of the new Type 26 Frigates, was named yesterday at Scotstoun Shipyard, taking the name of the city that built her.
A proud day for thousands of people who have worked to design and build these ships over the last 15 years.
