Prior to joining industry, I served academia for over 15 years.

#NobelPrize week starts tomorrow & the #chemnobel is Wednesday… used to be so much Nobel chat on Tw*tter, but that is not replicated here, alas. Anyway, for the record, I think MOFs will win at some point (maybe this year maybe not). Balasubramanian & Klenerman a good bet for next-gen sequencing too

I am on a mental toggle between "what do I actually want to know?" and "what can I get published?" It is an inevitable dilemma in this day and age for modern scientists. .

Preliminary investigations indicated that the centrifuge from which the leak occurred contained methanol and 2-amino-5-chloropyridine, whose vapours were inhaled by the chemist.

Lack of protective equipment was also reported.
