I'm not the 1st to point out the absolute hypocrisy of the BBC management. They walk past the Orwell statue every day and fail to heed the message: 'If liberty means anything at all, it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear'.They're telling their staff not to report the story.

I'm no fan of Reeves but when you have the BBC omerta on the cost of Brexit and headlines such 'Faisal Islam: the real reason Reeves is making you pay more tax' without one mention of the elephant in the room, you might be forgiven if you questioned their so-called 'impartiality '.

Orwelllian or what? Irony is dead. The Orwell Prize has really misunderstood Orwell! That is what is so depressing about this really stupid appointment.

Some rather obvious caveats re Denmark and UK: Denmark is a relatively small and largely homogenous country. Secondly, its first language is Danish not English! Third, it is further North and colder! If you were an asylum seeker where would you head for?

Who needs an Opposition when you have a Government in a death spiral? Everything that could go wrong for Starmer's managerialists has - precisely because they are devoid of principles. The greatest irony in this is that they don't even realise or care where they're heading. They have no destination.

Mahmood doing the full Braverman tribute act. What's dividing this country is not immigration - does she ever look in a mirror? - it's Brexit, inequality, poor housing, poor education provision, run down NHS, racism and a toxic right wing media - amongst other things.

Straight out of the Trump playbook. This should surely convince any remaining progressives to ditch Labour once and for all. These people seem to want to distant themselves from all the founding principles of the Party. Mahmood is in the wrong party. Farage would have no problem her joining Reform.

BBC headline 'Starmer will fight attempts to replace him, allies say.' Perhaps it should read: 'Starmer will fight attempts to replace him, McSweeney leaks.' A clear case of self-preservation I suggest?

To think that BBC management and certain journalists walk past a statue of Orwell every day which proclaims "If liberty means anything at all, it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear." He knew himself how the BBC propagandised and saw through the myth of its impartiality.

Breaking News: newly discovered footage by the BBC suggests that Hitler did not incite the burning of the Reichstag in 1933. Instead, the film shows that Herr Hitler suggested it ‘was an act of God’.

Did Trump incite the Capitol riot? Simple question that all those who are furious with BBC are avoiding. Or were those rioting merely 'sightseers' who just so happened to support Trump - as per the White House version and the one that the BBC should have reported according to its critics?

Were there no mistaken releases in the 14 years of Tory rule? Reading CMason @BBC you'd think this has only happened in the last year. Funny that. The fact that the Justice system all but collapsed under the Tories seems to be entirely forgotten. Funny that. Perhaps Mason's amnesia has struck again?

With the BBC already calling Reform a government-in-waiting (see yet another puffpiece in today's online BBC News), Farage has to do very little to get the headlines - regardless of his actual message. Unless and until some BBC journos & others discover their cojones, Reform will be home and dry.

Nero, Canute or the captain of the Titanic? Fast running out of analogies for Starmer. Having a Cabinet of unprincipled near-do-wells, he staggers from one disaster to another. Meanwhile he has full confidence in McSweeney and the band continue to play Reform tunes regardless. SOS!

This statement and Nandy encapsulates everything that is so disappointing with the Labour leadership. Beholden to their Zionist donors and craven in their fear of the Right wing media, they are, politically, the apocryphal Lemmings. They somehow manage to commit political suicide at every turn.
