My test model for a squad of German Gebirgsjäger from Warlord Games. Other than a few touch ups i'm happy with the result. Think i'll paint them as a mix of tan and white smocks and field tunics as I can't make up my mind.

A genuine joy to paint and he's so cute! Barely 25mm high but so much character. I dare you to paint him without going "Squee!"

Tod the fox doing a sneak along the edge of a dry stream. He's a slightly rough orange with a white underside and tail tip. From this, his left side, you can see a left shoulder pad of leather armour and the short sword he is slowly drawing from its leather scabbard. Over his armour he has a thin black robe, belted at the waist, so he's dressed a little like a Roman auxillary. Rear view of Tod sneaking. You can see the small drop to the streambed, the light knapsack on his back, and the trimmed branches to his right, barely enough cover. Front right view of Tod, paws in the dried leaves as the base of those branches, pack strap over his shoulder and a determined look on his face. Front view, almost straight on. Eyes bright, shiny nose, and his right paw reaching for that gladius. If you look closely, you can see the leather scroll-pouch on his back, though whether that contains an important message or a piece of stolen loot isn't quite clear just yet...

A project I started a while back and hope to get going again soon. GW plastic ogre conversion and a resin turtle, I can’t remember where from, with a wooden scratchbuilt barrel on top with some Perry yumi ashigaru 😊

Plastic Gw ogre conversion into a Japanese oni, or demon. I sculpted a chon-mage for his hairstyle and sculpted some tabi for his feet. The belly plate was sanded down and painted with the Murakami clan mon (the Murakami were known pirates in the sengoku jidai). A also carved a large katana for. He’s painted with red skin and blue trousers that have a yellow three dot pattern on them. A better view of the carved katana and chon-mage hair. He’s on a 40mm base that has various growies and flowers on it. A large resin turtle with a scratchbuilt wooden barrel on top containing three perry yumi ashigaru (archers). The nobori (large banner) on the back show the Murakami mon on a red back ground with three white horizontal stripes below. Side view of the turtle better showing the nobori. The turtle is painted in a sort of olive/tan colour.
